This really works! 28 Nov 2009
I have tried all sorts of diets as I have wanted to lose fat, particularly from the thigh and bum area. I followed the advice in this book and not only did the fat start to melt away, but my shape started to improve and I felt much more energetic. The great thing with the approach in this book is that you do not have to starve but you can eat as much as you like - of the right things. It sets out a clear and practical approach to eating healthily that leads to significant fat loss and wellbeing. And although all the theory is all there (everything from how fat is created and stored to how vitamins work) the focus is a practical one. There are even sample menus at the back. This book has helped me take a major step forward in how I live and look. An excellent buy.

THIS BOOK HAS CHANGED MY LIFE-STYLE, 13 Nov 2009
Being a keen amateur body-builder(and eating what most people would consider to be a reasonably healthy and balanced diet), I did not expect to learn a great deal from this book. How wrong I was! From the very first page I found myself undergoing a fundamental re-assessment of the food I was eating and what my body was doing with that food. Instead of being another exercise in calorie-counting, here was a book that spelt out very clearly and precisely the essential nutrition package for human-beings, the optimum path for our bodies to absorb those nutients and - perhaps most importantly of all- why we have got it so wrong in the last few minutes of our evolutionary time-clock........with disastrous consequences for public health generally. If you are looking for another "quick fix" or an easy answer then this book is not for you. If however, you really are serious about what you eat and why, then this book could change your life - forever.

Most important book you will ever read, 31 Oct 2009
This is one of those few books that after reading it, you will want to share the knowledge it has given to you with the ones you love.
I have been waiting half my life for this book - one book to give me the real honest knowledge based and facts about diet and nutrition. It gives a no holds barred understanding of what happens when we eat and the effect both positive and negative. I believe the understanding that this knowledge has given me and the changes it has made in my behaviour since, has had a direct impact on feeling healthier on a day to day basis as well as increasing the longevity of my loved ones and I.
I have purchased 15 copies of the book since reading it and have given it to the people closest to me. The knoweldge here is the gift of life (today and for for more tomorrows). It includes at a detailed level why eating certain foods will increase the chance of heart disease, cancer and fat increase and why eating others will give us more energy every day and a better looking body.
The knowledge within here provides the motivation to change behaviours.

There are more nutrition books out there than you can point a stick at. There are more theories than you can count. This book finally delivers a crystal clear and comprehensive treatment of all things to do with nutrition and lifestyle. It brings together many fields of study, very extensive practical experience and synthesizes these into a single comprehensive guide. A must for anyone interested in nutrition and lifestyle.
